Just thought this was a funny sign.

Wish this wasn't so fuzzy. This was a garden that you could get married in.

Chowing down on the Turkey Leg.

Some 'Romans' and the cute little chariot that they were pulling the kids in.

The Knights finishing up the games.
Box Jelly Fish

Cameron loved the Elephants.

The baby Elephant born this year.

Cameron copies everything that Justin does. Justin was getting a closer look at the Komodo Dragon.
This thing was like 7 or 8 feet long! I can't believe people have these things as pets! Crazy!

Looking at the Giraffes, Cam enjoyed these, too.

Loving some lemonade at Joe's Crab Shack.

Zach is  in the ROTC at his school and was just promoted to Sgt.!

Justin looks so short amongst these tall guys, lol.

Texas Vacation ~ Renaissance Festival

We are having a wonderful vacation and on Sunday we had quite an experience! We went to the Texas Renaissance Festival. We had a great time walking around just looking in some shops and watching people! Justin got his Turkey leg he was wanting and had been talking about for months, lol. He tore that thing up! I had never seen a piece of meat gone so quickly. Cameron also got into the action! (Pictures to come) My child will eat anything and I do mean anything, ha ha. Each weekend is a different 'theme' and this weekend just happened to be the 1300-1400 theme. Everyone dressed like Barbarians/Vikings and Romans. We also saw some people dressed as goodness only knows what. A lot of people that came dressed up. Not quite my thing as far as everyone dressing up, but it made for some interesting people watching. Everyone spoke in "Mi-Lords" and "Mi-lady" ... it was neat. I am glad that I got to experience it. It took about 4.5 hours to walk through it. Well, we did stop and rest a few times because I was getting tired. We also got to watch some jousting and old-fashioned 'knight' games.

It was an experience that we will never forget, that's for sure! This whole vacation has been wonderful, thanks to my sweetheart.

Well, thanks to my mother-in-law I have found a way to upload pictures! Wahoo! The next posting will be nothing but pictures.

Hope you enjoy!

Happy Tuesday! (Election day, hope you all voted!)

Texas Vacation : Part 1 - Houston Zoo

Oh how I wish I hadn't forgotten my camera cord! I have so many wonderful pictures to post already!

Yesterday we had an amazing day at the Houston Zoo. It was a beautiful day and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Cameron had an absolute ball. He was just mesmerized by everything. He really enjoyed the Elephants and the Chimps. Unfortunately they didn't have any Gorilla's like we thought and we had just missed the Dinosaur exhibit. However, I am pretty sure that we saw everything! It took us a good three hours to go through it. We also got to see Reliant Stadium where the Houston Texans play and got to see the Houston Medical Center. It may not seem like something to "see" but it was quite impressive. Knowing that some of the world's best doctors are here in Houston.

Also, Herman Park was beautiful! A lake with a water fall in the middle, ducks all around, a little train that takes you around the Zoo and just the pure beauty of being outside on a perfect fall day. It was a perfect family day. Afterwards we were super tired and hungry, and thanks to my sweet hubby, who had already purchased gift cards to several restaurants that we knew we wanted to eat at;  we ate at Joe's Crab Shack! It was SOO good! I enjoyed that meal for sure. I had some wonderful crab! Justin and I split a Steam Pot full of Red potatoes, corn on the Cobb, sausage (he and Cam ate that) and Crab! Yum! Oh my goodness. It was very satisfying. However, we got the pot for two and I wouldn't recommend that. You can easily get an appetizer, and split the pot of yummy-ness and get a dessert without feeling like a stuffed turkey! We had a to-go-box FULL of leftovers. We took it to his dad because we didn't have a way to heat it up today. So good... after that we came back to our room and relaxed after a very long wonderful day. Today Cameron and I are hanging out at the room while Justin is working. He should be home in a little while. I am trying to finish this post before Cameron wakes up because his new thing is to sit in my lap while I am on the computer and sit and look at the screen as closely as possibly, making it impossible to do anything on here! LOL

I got this picture from the Internet because I wanted you all to see!
Happy Thursday!

Texas Vacation! *Thomley Weekly*

We are here in the great state of Texas! I am thrilled to be here and I am already enjoying my time with Justin's family, the good food, and the very nice southern people! My mother will be proud. Yes mom, " The very nice people from the South" ... Lol! My wonderful husband got us an amazing room and has wonderful places to take me to eat and wonderful sites to see. However, right now he is working! Yep, work follows him everywhere he goes even though he is a carpenter. He is laying some hardwood floors for a friend of Debbie's.

The trip down here was wonderful! We made wonderful timing and Cameron was amazing. He only slept for about an hour and then looked at books, played with his cars and rode like a big boy. He was a wonderful baby! I couldn't believe how well he traveled. He has been absolutely perfect! I couldn't have asked for him for him to be any more perfect. He is so content anywhere we go. Just happy to be going and to be with "Mom Mom" and "Da" ha ha ... yep, I am not "Mommy" or "Mom" I am "Mom Mom"! I love it!! I makes me melt. He will look up at me and grin really big and say "Mom Mom" and just laugh! Oh, he is precious. He has just started this- this past week. He is SOO smart and attentive to everything around him. He has also really taken to everyone around him. If he sees us give them a hug, then he has to also. He just copies EVERYTHING we do! We really have to be careful and watch what we do and how we say certain things. Doesn't matter if the dog next door barks constantly and we say "Hush Dog!" .. he will imitate it.. "Ush, Ush, Ush". He still isn't talking much but he is starting to say little things. I am thrilled. My little man is growing up and becoming so independent!
It is amazing, the love that I have for my child. The love of a mother and the special bond between a mother and her children.

I would upload a few pictures, but sadly, I forgot my camera cord! It is the only thing that I forgot! I was pretty proud of myself to have only forgotten just that one thing. So, there will be a plethera of pictures once the trip is over unless I can borrow one from family. I will see what I can do.

Happy Tuesday!

Getting Ready!

The time has come, finally! I am packing and getting ready for our trip south (to Texas!) I am so excited. I am already tired from packing though. I have gotten all of our food packed and most of our clothes washed and folded. Cameron's toy's are together although I think that I am going to go through them again and see what I can do about consolidating bags, lol. I don't have pictures yet but if you can imagine a huge suitcase, and two bags of Cameron's toys not including our cooler, lunch box of drinks, a bag of snacks for the front of the truck and our very large bag of Cam's food and boxed goods... it's a lot! It sounds like a lot and it is! We are going to be down there for about 2 weeks. Justin has a job laying some hardwood floors and then starting next weekend we are on vacation! We are starting out next weekend by going to the Renaissance Festival and then continuing the week with the Houston Zoo and museums!

I can't wait to post some of our wonderful adventures in Texas! I will keep you all posted on the events of the next two weeks!!

Until next time! :)

Crafts of the Week

We are getting ready to leave for Houston, TX in a little over a week, and I have been thinking of things to keep Cameron occupied on the way down there. It is a 10 hour drive! He rides wonderfully but I want to make sure he is completely happy! So, I found some hand puppets on a wonderful site, click here for puppet pattern, a travel pillow for kid's (my own design) and I made an adorable bag for Cam to put his things in!

I have been meaning to post a picture of my craft chair that goes to my sewing table on here (see below). Justin painted it for me and I made the pillow! I love the fabric that I found, thought they were out but I searched every inch of the Wal-Mart fabric department. LOL.

New Carseat Travel Pillow! SOO happy!
He loves anything new.

Cam loves things like this! He was so excited.
"See, see, see"... is all he could say while
patting it.

My Chair! I LOVE it :)

The nursing cover I made myself.
You can't tell in this picture, but I added a ruffle to it.
Very girly!

The hand puppets I made for Cameron.
I love them! I can't wait to make more.

Travel neck pillow, my own design.

Cameron's bag I made for him.
I am thrilled with the way it turned out!

They Grow So Fast

My sweet boy is growing so fast and becoming so independant!
Here are a few pictures of my little man.

This poem is so true!

The cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow,
But children grow up, as I’ve learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down cobwebs; Dust go to sleep!
I’m rocking my baby and babies don’t keep.
