Scripture Of The Week

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."  ~ 2 Chronicles 7:14

The Emotions of a Pregnant Woman

As I am progressing in my pregnancy I am having so many mixed emotions. I have found myself crying over the smallest of things, not related to anything in particular just burst into tears. I totally blame the pregnancy hormones. Cameron will be two in less than a month, Landon will be here soon, and we have so many new and exciting things happening in our life.

However, as much as I am excited about a new life I regretfully have to say that this has not been a fun pregnancy and I have felt pretty horrible. I want so despratley to not want this pregnancy to end and to savor every little moment of time I have left being pregnant and to cherish every little stage I am going through. It isn't happening though. I have been longing for him to be here and have been having dreams that he was. In my honest feelings, I want to be done being pregnant this go 'round.  For the past three days I have had intense hip pain (to the point of spending most of the day laying in bed on a heating pad to get relief), and I have been feeling overly exhausted on top of many more not so fun things. I know, I know it's that fact that I am 32 weeks along and I have a baby growing on the inside of me. I love feeling Landon move, which he does constantly it seems like! For that I am overjoyed! I love knowing that he is healthy and strong with his massive kicks he seems to give me on a regular basis. I have my doctor's visit this morning and I pray that everything is well. I am sure it is, but I just ask for your prayers as I continue with the rest of my pregnancy and prepare for this special little one we will be welcoming within the next several weeks.

What baby is up to!

32 Weeks Pregnant

At 32 weeks, baby’s birth still seems kind of far away, but you and baby are physically ready in a lot of ways, just in case there’s an early arrival. Baby may have turned so she’s in the head-down position by now, poised for her trip down the birth canal. And you may have noticed your nipples looking darker. That’s so a preemie can see them for breastfeeding -- isn't your body so amazing? Intensity might be building in the symptoms department, as heartburn and contractions intensify around week 32. But we’re guessing you’re so excited about baby’s impending arrival, they’re not slowing you down much.

Your baby's the size of a squash!
Still growing, your baby weighs in at about 2.5 to 3.8 pounds and measures about 15.2 to 16.7 inches.

your baby at 32 weeks
  • She's getting ready for her descent -- she's likely in the head-down position now.
  • And she's probably feeling a even more cramped.

Cameron & his new baby

I think I had mentioned a while back that I was getting Cameron a boy baby doll, and that I was going to take it to the hospital and give it to him when he came to visit Landon. I was going to give it to him before he left so he would have "a baby" to take care of.

Well, it didn't really happen like I wanted it to. The package came. I was so excited! I was opening the box and Justin came in to see my box of goodies. Cameron was in the other room playing until he heard me opening the plastic, he came running! (He usually thinks this means food. You can literally rattle a paper from anywhere in the house and he comes running to see what it is.) So I was trying to be very quiet but the plastic wouldn't cooperate. I pulled out the little doll, still hoping it could be a surprise, but I couldn't hide it quick enough. So I turned and showed it to him. I had also ordered him a new book and tried to give it to him after he had 'just looked' at the baby. The book was tossed aside (he literally threw it on the floor), grabbed the baby and said "Oh bebe, oh bebe, aw bebe"!

After that, I couldn't not give it to him. He immediately put the baby on his shoulder and while he was walking away he was patting it on the back and loving it. It was the most precious thing I have ever heard and seen. He immediatley went over to his vacuum and started showing him how to vacuum! I died laughing! It just showed me where his little heart is and no matter how rowdy and rough he can be, he has the most tender little heart that loves so deeply. It was the most precious moment, and I am so glad I was able to witness it!

I honestly didn't think that he would take to it so much, but he wakes up with him, totes him everywhere and will not let the doll become unwrapped from his blanket! Haha.

So, here are some pictures that I was able to capture right after Baby Ben arrived. Melts this Mama's heart!

Love'n on "bebe" Ben

This is the same spot I sit in when I hold him.

Giving Baby Ben kisses. :)

Pointing out "body parts". Eyes. Nose.

This is where we do a lot of reading. Cameron loves to sit on the
arm of the chair.(Since I have run out of room in my lap, haha)
So just like him, Baby Ben gets to sit there just like he does!

Ears!

"See, see"
(Showing him the picture of the trucks)

I made Baby Ben a "bed" out of one of those leftover
hospital tubs they send you home with.
He had to watch the car show with him.

(Sorry these are out of order!)

And that's the story of "Baby Ben" ...

Bubbles, Sidewalk chalk & stinky cats ...

First, I apologize to any of you who have cats. My family is a dog family, even though I wouldn't mind having cat to keep the small critters away. I personally don't care to much for cats. Although, I have to say, when I was growing up we had this orange cat that took a liking to me and had a sweet personality. It was the only cat I ever cared for.

Anyway, our neighbors have these cats and one is a male cat who loves to make his way into our garage and spray everything! So while Cameron and I were out playing yesterday the cat came sneaking around and I tried shooing it away. When Cam saw what I was doing he took his hat off and started swinging it saying "Go! Go! Go!" ... it was the funniest thing I think I had ever seen. If you can imagine where he got this, he got it from his dad. Justin will often take his hat off (while never hitting an animal) shoo it on its way since we have neighbors who let their animals run all over the neighborhood. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen watching him "run off" the stinky cat.

Shooing the cat off

Coloring :)

Doing his best to blow the bubbles.
He was trying so hard but the wind kept making it difficult
to actually blow them.

Just taking a break :)

It was such a pretty day yesterday... we really enjoyed it.

He kept saying "Mama, Mama" and patting the swing next to him.
When I came over and sat down beside him, he got up and left! Haha
Oh my little stinker!

Carseat Canopy & the Bump

I found this before I even became pregnant, but I knew Landon would need one. :)

I found the material at Hobby Lobby and it matches his carseat perfectly.

Landon's seat cover!

31 weeks along!

Yep, I'm stick'n on out there. Huge!
I was able to get the maternity support belt, which helps amazingly!
It reduces back pain and helps support my big boy!

The Random Post of things

I have several pictures that I wanted to share but it didn't seem enough to have a post for each one of them. So, I just thought I would share them all here, in one post.

A few nights ago Cameron figured out he could stack his trucks.
This is what he brought to show me. I just thought it was funny. Reminds me of the time that my
little brother got cowboys and indians for christmas and they attacked our fireplace. I wish I had the pictures to show you, but they are on a disk where I packed it and would make sure "I would know exactly where it was!" LOL Yeah right.

Good Morning Bedhead!

We slicked this crazy hair down as much as we could, but still
ended up wearing the puppy hat!

Yep, he's a Texan's fan!

He loves wearing mine and Debbie's aprons.
I was at the lovely WalMart the other day just browsing through
the fabric department and found this construction material.

So I whipped him up his own little apron!

And of course he had to make the tea while wearing his apron.

Who doesn't love some sweet tea?
Especially when made by an almost 2 year old? :)

Isaiah 55: 8-9

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts; Nor your ways My ways" says the Lord. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts."

This has been the verse on my chalk board for the past week. I am not doing as well at my scripture memorization as I would have hoped, but Justin and I have really enjoyed having the scripture a glance away. God's Word is always wonderful to have so close! Even while we are trying to hide it in our hearts.

Saturday in the Park ...

No, its not the 4th of July but a chilly, sunny day in February. We were tired of being in the house and wanted to be outside! So, we took Cameron to the park for a little while. Here are a few pictures of our outing. These aren't in any particular order.

I had to blow this one up because I love the expression on Cam's face.

Coming back from looking at the water.

Love this one! I can still hear the squeals of excitement.
Makes a Mama's heart happy.

He enjoyed playing in the rocks.

Love this little person!

Yep, sorry this is the last picture you see. He was
scratching the rocks behind him, between his legs like a dog does.
I am just sad I didn't catch the rocks in mid-air.
It was quite funny watching him. He was amused by this for quite a while.

After playing at the park we came home ate PB&J's and took a nap. Ahh, what a great Saturday!

Happy Weekend!
